Okvsho

The Duo Okvsho is one of the most promising prospects of upcoming musicians from Switzerland. The two brothers grew up in the city of Zurich with influences from oldschool HipHop to the modern jazz scene, what also defines their signature style between beatmaking and jazz.

2017 their productions caught the attention of the well-known label Boyoom Connective, founded by Melodiesinfonie and Maloon the Boom. Since then, besides sitting in the Boyoom-Studio, they made a name of themselves as live-beat performers and disco / house DJs. Also they play shows with their jazz/funk band.

After effortlessly transitioning from sample based bedroom beats and loop heavy productions to self composed songs Okvsho managed to elevate their sounds even further on their new album "KAMALA'S DANZ".

By adding more live instrumentation and inviting talented young musicians to the infamous Traphouse Studio, the group captured a broader range of emotions which opened up new possibilities and ways of story telling.

From the first flock of birds singing their early morning songs to the sombre glistening reflections of a low hanging moon, humming halfway through the night. In a place where flowers and plants endlessly sway in hopes of seeing the sun once more "KAMALA'S DANZ" feels like a musical journey, up and down the rivers of life.
